The Jessie Ball duPont Fund works to support a strong independent sector, robust civil society and informed and engaged citizenry. The Fund employs multiple strategies, including research, convening and community education, organizational development and community grantmaking to advance this work.
Specifically, we support:
- Research, to help communities better understand, fund and advocate for their nonprofit sectors;
- Intermediary organizations — such as the Florida Philanthropic Network, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida or Philanthropy Delaware — that help bring together and give voice to the sector in specific places.
- Activities within communities to help citizens solve problems and achieve shared goals.
