Charmion Thrasher

Program Fellow

Charmion Thrasher serves as Program Fellow at the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, supporting grantee relationship management, grant performance and impact tracking, and program management.

Charmion is a public policy professional and community strategist committed to advancing place-based philanthropy and equitable community development. Her work focuses on strengthening nonprofit systems, supporting data-informed decision-making, and driving initiatives that create meaningful, community-centered impact.

Her journey began as a student ambassador for the United States, an experience that expanded her global perspective and deepened her connection to people, culture, and community. This foundation continues to shape her approach to leadership and her commitment to building inclusive, people-centered systems.

Charmion brings experience in grants compliance, program evaluation, and cross-sector collaboration through her role at Girls Inc. of Jacksonville, where she has supported data systems and reporting that inform both program delivery and funding strategy. Her work reflects a strong ability to translate complex information into actionable insights for leadership, partners, and stakeholders.

She is currently pursuing her Executive Master of Public Administration at Cornell University’s Brooks School of Public Policy, where her academic work centers on the intersection of public space, philanthropy, and economic opportunity. Her capstone research examines the social and economic impact of Lift Ev’ry V oice & Sing Park, with a focus on how intentional investment in place can drive long-term community outcomes.

Charmion also brings past experience in nonprofit leadership at the national level, along with continued involvement in local placemaking efforts in Jacksonville. Across all of her work, she is driven by a commitment to thoughtful strategy, operational excellence, and building systems that support sustainable, community-rooted change.
