David M. Llewellyn is a Senior Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Officer at Northern Trust in Miami, Florida. Besides managing complex family relationships for Northern Trust’s wealthiest families, he advises and oversees the fiduciary aspects of Northern Trust’s trust business in the region. David is a past chair of the Advisory Board for the American Bankers Association’s Trust Schools and is a current faculty member.
Prior roles and assignments at Northern Trust include managing teams of Trust Advisors and the Estate Administration, Florida Probate Tax, and Florida Special Assets Groups.
David received a Bachelors in International Relations from Brigham Young University, a Masters of International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami.
David was involved for many years with the Boy Scouts of America, serving in local troop leadership and Council positions.
As a young man, David volunteered for two years of church missionary service in central California where he labored mainly among the Mexican migrant labor population. He speaks Spanish and French and has studied and worked abroad in both Switzerland and France. David and his wife Marty have three children and one grandchild.
His tenure as the corporate trustee’s representative for the Jessie Ball duPont Fund began in 2011.
