The Reverend Canon Eddie Ellsworth Jones, Jr. is an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Florida. He has served in the Diocese as rector of several parishes, most recently as interim rector of Trinity Parrish, St. Augustine, Florida.
The Reverend Jones is a former department head with the United States Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. In addition, he is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Army. He has served on various boards within the state of Florida: Farmers and Merchants Bank, Gerry Medical Center, Jefferson County Hospice, PRIDE Enterprises, LISC Jacksonville, and Operation New Hope Jacksonville and as President-Elect of the Capital Rotary Club. Currently, he is the Clerical Trustee of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund.
He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of West Alabama and his Master’s of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
He and his wife, Janine, live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
His tenure as clerical trustee of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund began in 2008.
